Scam Safety Tips
How to spot and avoid common marketplace scams.
Common red flags
Off-platform payment requests
A seller asks you to pay via direct bank transfer, e-wallet, or crypto outside FO2U checkout. Buyer protection only applies to payments made through FO2U.
Prices that are too good to be true
Branded electronics at 90% off, designer handbags at street-market prices. If it feels impossible, it usually is — and our marketplace doesn't allow branded resale anyway.
Pressure to act now
A seller insists you "decide in the next 10 minutes" or send payment immediately. Real factories don't pressure customers — that urgency is a manipulation tactic.
How to shop safely
- Always pay through FO2U checkout — never wire money to a seller directly.
- Never share your password, OTP, or banking PIN with anyone, including someone claiming to be FO2U support.
- Check for the "Verified Manufacturer" badge on the seller profile before ordering.
- Read recent reviews. New sellers with zero history deserve extra caution on big-ticket orders.
- Use a credit card or FPS when possible — both have stronger buyer-side protections.
- If something feels off, stop and message FO2U on WhatsApp before paying.
